Professional Development (PD) Days

We invite you to consider the high quality courses listed that the FMI Capital Chapter will be offering over 2016-2017. 

These courses were selected to address the unique professional development needs of the financial community and reflect the feedback from surveys you have provided us.

Also note that all professional development courses offered by fmi-cc are eligible for the following group discounts upon request: A discount when 4 participants register from the same organization for the same course.

Our sessions are primarily in English.  We strive to provide all PD Day presentations and documents and their posting to the website in both English and French. All participants to the PD Days are encouraged to ask questions in either English or French, the official languages of Canada.

The cost to register for a PD Day is as follow:

  • Members: $390.00
  • Non-Members: $440.00
  • Group of 4 (same organization): $1620.00

The FMI Capital Chapter had a great year and we are going out with a bang!  This is the PD Day you will not want to miss! The June 15thPD Day has enlisted engaging speakers to highlight some of the Government of Canada's key priorities that are of interest to you!  Dynamic senior leaders, from inside and outside Government, will share their perspectives on the various priorities of government by sector:  Economic Policy Priorities; Social Policy Priorities; and Innovation/Experimentation as a Top Priority. The day features several exciting keynotes throughout the day. They are:

This PD Day is ideally suited for those involved in delivering on these key priorities, new entrants to the public service, aspiring leaders, those involved in strategic policy, program delivery, financial management or strategies and federal budget submissions. The Day will also be of interest to those who are clients of these initiatives and those who wish to understand interactions between departments and central agencies, and the Federal Budget process.

As a special tribute to Canada's 150th Birthday, the Day will end with key speakers on Celebrating Canada's 150th initiative, who will discuss their initiatives, strategies and partnerships with other levels of government.  We will also have a gift for attendees to mark this very special occasion!  Looking forward to seeing you at this strategic and exciting event!

Cancellation of your registration must be received by email up to 72 hours prior to the PD Day. If no cancellation notice is received, you will be invoiced. Please note that if you choose to send a replacement to the PD Day, the individual will be billed according to their membership status (member rate or non-member rate) not yours.
