EVENT FLYER

Across Eastern Canada, there is a gradual yet significant shift underway that is having a profound impact on government. Urbanization or the movement of people from long standing rural communities to large urban centers is challenging our traditional views on government infrastructure and expected level of services.

Join us in Corner Brook on April 15th, 2015 to hear Bruce Peever discuss the rethinking of government services.

Forty percent of this province's population lives east of the overpass in the greater St. John's area. How are rural communities in Eastern Canada going to support an accustomed level of service with a declining number of taxpayers? On the other hand, how are urban centers going to respond to the pressures of increased growth.

Bruce Peever is a Senior Manager in KPMG's Public Sector practice having over 17 years of experience with a number of different sized Canadian municipalities. His interests are largely in the areas of governance design and relationships; organizational assessment, design and effectiveness; strategic planning; and change management.

Bruce holds a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) from Bishop's University, a Master of Arts (Political Science) from Wilfrid Laurier University and a M.B.A. from Queen's University. He is a graduate of Banff Centre of Management and is a Certified Manager with the International City/County Manager Association (ICMA) and a Certified Management Consultant.
