JUSTIFICATION TOOLKIT

PSMW (the Public Sector Management Workshop) is held every year in May or June and hosted by one of fmi*igf's 14 Chapters across the country. This annual learning event delivers an excellent program of professional development sessions covering a wide range of current and relevant public sector issues.

This two day conference attracts nearly 300 participants from both the public and private sectors. Over the past 30 years, the Financial Management Institute of Canada (fmi*igf) has been providing PSMW participants with educational opportunities, information exchange platforms and incomparable chances to network with colleagues, industry leaders and corporate suppliers.

With the current state of the economy, and the subsequent tightening of budgets for training and conference participation, participants must demonstrate how the program offered at PSMW 2017 will meet their job-related educational and informational requirements. Prospective delegates will have to present to their employers why they need to participate and outline what they will miss out on if they are not there. The justification for "I need to attend" is the reality. The theme for PSMW 2017 Winnipeg is "Collaboration ~ Growth ~ Renewal."
