Victoria Chapter News What a year!!!! After such a successful Public Sector Management Workshop in May, it was time for the FMI Victoria Board and the PSMW 2015 Committee members to take a break. After a lovely recognition event held on July 1th at the PwC Office in Victoria, many Board members took the time to enjoy their summer - and it was a spectacular summer. One Board member got married, one moved to Manitoba and joined the FMI Manitoba Chapter and others travelled to distant places. The Board recently reconvened to finish the fiscal year and get started with its 2015-2016 planning. The AGM on September 17th was held with a presentation and panel discussion on "Where is Public Sector Purchasing Going? Who is Doing it Well and How Can We Improve?". The SOLD OUT event featured Michelle Gronning, Partner and National Procurement and Supply Chain practice leader with PwC Canada in Edmonton, and Angela Ma, Director with PwC Consulting's Supply Chain and Operations group in Vancouver. It is with regret that FMI Victoria's longest standing member, Gordon Gunn has decided to step down from the Board to pursue other opportunities. FMI Victoria wishes to take this opportunity to thank him for all of the time and effort he has given the Chapter over these many years. Gordon joined the Chapter Board in early 2000, serving two terms as President and has been involved in many FMI National and Chapter initiatives. Thank you, Gordon, and the best of luck!
