About

The Nova Scotia Chapter (FMI NS) is one of 14 FMI Chapters across Canada. We have been providing professional development events to the local public sector community since 1989.

Operating as a regional affiliate of the FMI National Office, we host a broad range of learning events and networking opportunities focusing on financial management issues that impact all levels of government.

NS FMI Learning Events

  • We offer half-day learning events bi-monthly from October to June addressing a variety of professional development topics
  • In addition to guest speakers on key topics of the day, FMI NS also hosts specialized interactive workshops for our community to help develop practical skills that they can use, day-to-day, in their work environments.
  • For CPAs, our events typically offer 3 hours of verifiable Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits.
