Newfoundland and Labrador, Building on its Oil and Gas Potential

The St. John’s Chapter is pleased to invite you to a virtual event Newfoundland and Labrador, Building on its Oil and Gas Potential

Presented by Paul Barnes, Director – Atlantic and Northern Canada, Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP).

Since the federal election Canada’s potential as an energy superpower has been in the spotlight. But what will it take to get there? Canada has a natural advantage in navigating an increasingly challenging economic and geopolitical environment. Our oil and natural gas resources put the country in an enviable and potentially globally influential position. Canada can and should build on its oil and natural gas potential and Newfoundland and Labrador should be a key part of this growth. Paul Barnes will discuss the national and international context surrounding energy development and what it means for Newfoundland & Labrador. He will provide an overview of the province’s current oil and gas industry, discuss future growth and how the province and country can create the right conditions to attract investment to fully realize our potential as an energy superpower.

The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) is a non-partisan, research-based industry association that advocates on behalf of our member companies, large and small, that explore for, develop, and produce oil and natural gas throughout Canada. Our associate members provide a wide range of services that support the upstream industry.

Please note the St. John’s FMI Chapter Annual General Meeting will follow the session. All attendees are welcome to attend.
