Anti Money Laundering – understand and comply with legal requirements to detect, prevent, and report money laundering and terrorist financing. (This session qualifies towards CPA-BC requirement of 1.5 hours of AML by December 31, 2026)
Cybersecurity – explore emerging trends and technologies shaping the future of cybersecurity (including cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security incidents) that impact or threaten to impact programs, services and systems.

Speakers
Becky Marvell
Becky is a leader in Deloitte’s Financial Crime Practice, based out of Vancouver; supporting clients with AML and Fraud Management optimization and transformation programs. She helps to identify opportunities for increasing prevention/detection/response capability maturity and has insight into leading best practices from working with Canada’s largest banks, investment managers and crown corporations. She has experience with a number of different technology vendors within the financial crime domain and helps clients to determine best fit based on capability requirements.
She has prior extensive experience working in the financial services sector in both the UK and Hong Kong, and is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. Experience includes:
- Guiding clients through adoption of new tools, AI enablement and how to redefine processes to increase efficiency and automation while maintaining embedded risk and compliance guardrails
- AML transaction monitoring optimization approaches
- Fraud strategy development and delivery methods
- Financial crime (Fraud & AML) technology and capability assessments, incl. Fraud risk assessments,
- Independent CDD reviews, customer identity proofing and investigator network analytics
Matthew Edge
Matthew Edge (CAMS, CAMS-RM) is a Manager in Deloitte’s Financial Crimes practice, based in Vancouver, supporting clients across AML and broader financial crime risk and investigations. Since joining Deloitte, Matthew has aided multiple financial institutions and organizations in both an advisory capacity and operationally, producing comprehensive risk assessment, aiding in responses to regulatory updates and leading operation teams in managing AML/EDD investigations. He also designs and delivers practical training on money laundering risks for professional and industry audiences.
Prior to Deloitte, Matthew built close to a decade of financial crime experience within major Canadian financial institutions, leading complex investigations across fraud, terrorist financing, employee misconduct, and AML matters, as well as conducting proactive data analysis and financial crime/AML risk assessments. His background includes enhanced due diligence for high-risk clients, thematic investigative analytics, quality assurance of control frameworks, and stakeholder engagement through clear reporting and data-driven insights. Matthew is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and CAMS–Risk Management (CAMS-RM) and holds Level I (Reliability Status) security clearance.
Mykyta Clancy
Mykyta Clancy is a Manager in Deloitte’s Financial Crime practice, based in Vancouver, Canada, with deep experience advising financial institutions and public sector organizations on AML and financial crime risk management. His work spans AML program governance, operating model design, regulatory assessment support, and complex investigative matters.
Mykyta regularly supports organizations in navigating supervisory and enforcement expectations, strengthening high‑risk client frameworks, and improving the consistency and effectiveness of AML controls. He brings a strong understanding of how regulatory requirements translate into practical, defensible programs across first‑ and second‑line functions.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Mykyta worked in the financial services sector conducting complex fraud and AML investigations, including matters involving terrorist financing and serious financial crime. He is a Certified Anti‑Money Laundering
