A Professional Development Day on FI Fundamentals

The Ottawa-Outaouais Chapter is pleased to invite you to an In-Person Professional Development Day on FI Fundamentals

We’re delighted to share that Annie Boudreau, the newly appointed Comptroller General of Canada, will inaugurate our event as the keynote speaker, with an introduction by Roch Huppe, the former Comptroller General.

Our day-long in-person event will concentrate on fundamental aspects of financial management, offering insights into the Financial Management Policy Suite, Expenditure Management System, and Values & Ethics.

Earn up to 6 CPD credits

Our full day in-person event will focus on FI fundamentals. We will provide an overview of:

  • Policy on Financial Management
  • Expenditure Management Cycle
  • The differences between Budget proposals, TB Subs and MCs
  • The impact of the TBS Policy Reset moving to more principles based
  • Delegation

The day will include panel discussions and workshop opportunities, including discussing Values and Ethics as an FI.

We will finish the day with a cocktail hour where we are hoping you and your colleagues will join us and the PD attendees to network and socialize.
