The Prince Edward Island Chapter is pleased to invite you to a Professional Development Session on Changes to Capital Gains & AGM

On Tuesday, October 15th, 2024 join Dr. Andrew Carrothers, Associate Professor of Finance at UPEI’s Faculty of Business, for a presentation on the new tax changes for capital gains. The 2024 Federal Budget introduced new changes to capital gains effecting individuals, trusts, and corporations. We will follow this event with our AGM.

Dr. Carrothers teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas of corporate, international, personal, and entrepreneurial finance. He holds a PhD in Finance from McMaster University. His primary research interest is corporate governance, with a particular focus on hedge fund activism and executive compensation. He is also active with research on financial literacy.

Prior to joining UPEI, Andrew gained extensive work experience as a senior manager at an S&P 500 company. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario.
