The Financial Management Institute
of Canada is a national volunteer organization dedicated to
providing professional development opportunities for financial and
other managers employed by all levels of government and related
organizations. Membership provides reduced rates for local and
national seminars as well as a quarterly professional journal. The
Halifax Chapter was established in 1990 to promote these activities
in Nova Scotia.
Membership is included in first learning session attended.
Membership Year = July 1st - June
30th each year.
The FMI Halifax Chapter presents a
series of five professional development sessions each year, with
government, business and academic speakers. The sessions are
offered for relatively low fees in order to create cost effective
training and networking opportunities.
