  • J-P Fournier - Funding Technology and Digital Services

    J-P Fournier is the Executive Director of Digital Investment for the Province of British Columbia. His team sets cross-government digital strategy and policy and manages the government’s technology-related investment portfolio.
    Previously, J-P was a Director in the Province of British Columbia’s Exchange Lab, where he supported the Province’s Covid-19 response and led teams to design and build simple, accessible and easy-to-use digital products and services that meet people’s modern expectations. He also developed BC’s first digital strategy and led the BC Startup in Residence GovTech program.
    J-P holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Resource Management from the University of Windsor and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Victoria.

  • Fisnik Preniqi - Budget 2023, behind the scenes

    Fisnik Preniqi is the Executive Director of the Fiscal Planning & Estimates Branch in the BC Ministry of Finance. The branch is responsible for compiling the forecasts for government revenue, expense, capital spending, and debt for inclusion in the government's Budget, Estimates, and quarterly reports.
    Budget 2023 is his sixth budget in this role, and Fisnik been a B.C. public servant since 2005, mostly in the Ministry of Finance, and a CPA, having earned the former CGA accounting designation in 2010.
