On Wednesday, March 9, 2022, join your Nova Scotia Chapter colleagues for an engaging morning of PD learning about how empowering all employees to use data analytics to solve business problems has gained enormous popularity within the Finance Branch at Statistics Canada in the past few years. This is partly due to the emergence of easy to use tools like PowerBI.

The morning session with be presented via Zoom and is free for all FMI members.

Sean Kew from Statistics Canada will walk through the data analytics journey that he helped to lead and show tangible examples of PowerBI reports & dashboards that have enabled data driven decision making.

The session is free.

  • SEAN KEW - Chief - Finance Business Transformation, Statistics Canada

    Sean is currently working as a unit head within the Business Transformation team as part of the Finance Branch at Statistics Canada. Sean has been working at Statistics Canada for 15 years, 10 of which have been spent on large transformational projects, the most recent project involving Statistics Canada’s Finance Branch’s analytics and business intelligence journey. Sean has significant experience with data discovery, data transformation and data modeling and has worked over the years to share easy to understand analytics tools and skills with as many people as possible.
