Call for Expressions of Interest
fmi*igf Board of Directors
The fmi*igf Board of Directors is comprised of members experienced in managing organizational growth, defining policies and dedicated to advancing the mission of fmi*igf. By serving on the fmi*igf Board, directors exercise an impact on the strategic direction of the organization.
The election of the Board of Directors for fmi*igf is overseen by the Governance and Nominating Committee (GNC). A nominating committee is enacted for creating a slate of candidates for election.
Elections are held at the annual AGM in November.
NOVEMBER 2020 CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
The fmi*igf Board of Directors is seeking expressions of interest for the following positions to be elected November 2020 for an 24 month term:
Note: The Eastern Regional Director shall be responsible for all chapters located in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Western Regional Director shall be responsible for all chapters located in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon and the Northwest Territories.
Members or non-members interested in being considered the positions listed above may do so. To facilitate the expression of interest process, please use the attached form:
Please send completed Expression of Interest Forms to Governance and Nominations Committee member Barbara Kelly at firstname.lastname@example.org by 5PM (ET) of Friday, September 4, 2020.
The Governance & Nominations Committee will assess Expressions of Interest received by the deadline and present a slate of recommended candidates to the Board of Directors, and after Board approval will post for the consideration of members by September 21, 2020.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
As per Section 7 of the fmi*igf bylaws, 7.4, the Board will consist of a minimum of six (6) and a maximum of ten (10) elected Directors. Terms are staggered to preserve management continuity.
