Capital Chapter Professional Development (PD) Webinar Series | Stream 4

The FMI Capital Chapter has the following exciting, innovative, interactive on-line PD program for the coming Fall-Winter-Spring Season.

Welcome to the Capital Chapter Professional Development (PD) Webinar Series aimed at continuing to support your professional development with practical experience and hands-on advice from leaders in the public sector.

Each traditional PD Day has been converted into a Professional Development Stream organized by themes.  We will offer four streams in total.  Individual webinar sessions within each Professional Development Stream are spread out throughout the year to make the time commitment easier to integrate with other priorities.

By registering and participating in a Professional Development Stream you will receive 6 PDU credits for each stream and also have access to a full recording of the sessions for future reference.

Stream 4: Government Priorities of the Day – Federal Budget

Session Dates:  October 27, 2020 – March 2, 2021 – May 4, 2021 –  June 8, 2021

We have once again, enlisted engaging speakers to highlight some of the Government of Canada’s key priorities that are of interest to you and your organization in these resilient times. Dynamic senior leaders, from both inside and outside Government, will share their perspectives on the various government priorities by sector: Economic Policy Priorities; Social Policy Priorities; and Innovation as a top priority. The events will feature several exciting keynote speakers throughout the year.  We will kick off the series with the CFO from the Public Health Agency of Canada Carlo Beaudoin who will provide an inside look at how financial management was impacted by Canada’s response to the pandemic.  Throughout the series we will have other public sector executives as well as industry leaders to offer their views on government priorities this year and going forward.
