Strategic Overview of Key PM Principles and the Direction of PM Capacity

In collaboration with the Project Management Institute, the fmi*igf-CC is pleased to present an in-depth day on project management (PM) in the public sector.

The day will begin with a strategic overview of the key PM principles and the direction of PM capacity in the public sector. The following Learning Objectives will be explored, allowing you to apply project management fundamentals and tools:

  1. listen as common “PM” jargon is de-mystified and explained;
  2. follow the Project Lifecycle to understand the various components that you may be involved with as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) if directly assigned to a project team or as a Stakeholder, and understand the difference in the 2 roles;
  3. be part of an interactive project case study scenario as we build it from the “start” to the “end” of the project. Participate in deliverables and discussions to understand why Project Managers always look lost in thought as they walk briskly from one meeting to another with a note pad in one hand and an x-large coffee in the other.

Join us for an engaging day focusing on project management in the public sector!
