The St. John’s Chapter of The Financial Management Institute Presents: Oil & Gas Industry Perspectives on Energy Transition, Sustainable Finance & the Future of the Offshore Industry

On Thursday, December 16, 2021, The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers’ Paul Barnes (Director, Atlantic Canada & Arctic) and Jon Stringham (Manager, Fiscal & Economic Policy) will discuss the role of the oil and natural gas industry in energy transition and global trends in sustainable finance.

They will respond to views that investment in fossil fuels must cease immediately and discuss a made in Canada approach to sustainable finance, including where Newfoundland and Labrador’s offshore fits in.

The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) represents companies, large and small, that explore for, develop and produce natural gas and oil throughout Canada. CAPP’s member companies produce about 80 per cent of Canada’s natural gas and oil.
