Featured speaker:
Bryan Yu – Chief Economist, Central 1 Credit Union

Bryan leads Central 1’s economic analysis group that provides macro- and regional economic thought leadership for the organization and the broader credit union system. He is also business leader for the Economics Centre subscriber service and Central 1’s IFRS 9 National Platform.

As chief economist, Bryan authors many of the team’s flagship economic reports and speaks regularly at credit union and industry events. He is frequently contacted by media to provide national and provincial economic commentary. Internally, he sits on various treasury and risk committees. Prior to joining Central 1 in 2010, Bryan held economist roles at the BC Real Estate Association, CMHC, and conducted academic researcher in immigration economics. He holds a MA in Economics from Simon Fraser University and a BA from the University of Manitoba.

Bryan sits on the boards of the B.C. Paraplegic Foundation and Canadian Association for Business Economics
