2019 Annual General Meeting and PD event
Please join us for the Victoria FMI Chapter’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) followed by an interactive presentation on “Payment Processing in Canada – What’s Under the Hood?” by Kristina Logue, Senior Director of Finance, Payments Canada.
Payments Canada provides Canada’s national payments systems which include the Large Value System and the Retail System. The Large Value System allows financial institutions and their customers to send large payments securely, and the Retail System supports day-to-day transactions that are cleared by Canadian financial institutions. The Retail System is where the vast majority of day-to-day Canadian commerce is cleared.
Kristina will introduce us to what Payments Canada does and where they are going to continue to provide a platform that allows those in the payments ecosystem to innovate and provide Canadians with convenient, safe, and efficient payment options.

Kristina Logue, Senior Director of Finance, Payments Canada
In her role as Senior Director of Finance, Kristina is responsible for managing accounting operations, procurement, budgeting and forecasting, as well as the modernization program and its funding. She also aids in strategic planning, setting agendas, and presenting financial and business matters to the Board of Directors Committees. Kristina is a graduate of the University of Ottawa (BCom) and a Chartered Professional Accountant.
