Understand your role in the new political, governmental and departmental priorities as we review Key Ministerial Mandate Letters, Horizontal Government Initiatives and Departmental Strategic Investments.

This unique PD Day will focus on topics including infrastructure, P3s and horizontal integration.

Budget 2017 announced a three-year horizontal review of fixed assets led by the President of the Treasury Board Secretariat, with the support of the Office of the Comptroller General.  The goal of the Fixed Assets Review is to improve the management of fixed assets such as lands, buildings, leased premises, bridges, dams, wharves and other properties, under the administration of federal departments and agencies across government, with a view to ensuring alignment of the government’s footprint with its program requirements, and strengthening governance, accountability and oversight

Panel discussions will provide an update on this initiative and we will hear from departments on the strategies they employ in the management of this significant portfolio.

In the afternoon, Elections Canada will present the financial management challenges that come with the delivery of a general election.

This PD Day seminar will provide the opportunity for thought-provoking discussions among participants and lively feedback between participants and speakers during the panel discussion and follow-up question and answer sessions.
